Hi, I’m Yoonjung, a UX designer working across digital and physical experiences.
I use research to understand what people do, why they do it, and where their experiences fall short. I bring a sensitivity to form, space, and movement to UX, turning insights into interactions people can see, touch, and try. My work spans physical products, digital interfaces, and immersive prototypes.
I’m currently pursuing a master’s in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington.

Understand the why.
I'm drawn to the reasons behind everyday behaviors—what people adapt to, work around, or leave unsaid. Research helps me uncover those details and decide what to design for.

Think through making.
I think in three dimensions. From physical models to interactive prototypes, making helps me explore how an experience should look, feel, and respond—and gives people something concrete to react to.

Make room for every voice.
I bring energy to team discussions and help people feel comfortable sharing ideas and concerns. I enjoy connecting different perspectives so we can find a direction together.

Translated complex medical workflows and patient data into clear information architecture, data visualizations, and interaction flows for clinical UX/UI design.

Observed real-world vehicle use to understand driver behavior, then shaped AI voice interaction, intervention timing, and the overall usage flow from research through design.

Outside of work
A bit more about me
Outside of design, I enjoy traveling 🛫, practicing yoga 🧘, and playing tennis 🎾. I’m still a beginner at tennis, but I’m enjoying learning something new and getting a little better along the way.
I spent part of my childhood in Canada 🍁, and now I’m starting a new chapter in Seattle. I enjoy getting to know people from different backgrounds and finding my feet in a new place. I’m often the one who gets a conversation going, and I love being around people who make it easy to share ideas, ask questions, and laugh together.
I'm always happy to talk design, research, or anything in between.
